Newly Recognized Love for Country

The anger and fear that I have felt since Trump became a candidate for president has stimulated a fresh recognition in me: I love my country (the U.S.A).

Oh, I don't necessarily love my government. I certainly don't necessarily love all politicians! But I love the history of the rule of law. I love our republic. I love the freedoms and rights for which our country has historically been known.

This love of country has been newly recognized as the things that I love are now threatened by a federal administration and house of representatives that lie, mislead, have authoritarian tendencies, display clear and unmistakable signs of corruption, and all this is best represented by the president himself!

My love of the country that I've known my entire life is now threatened and it makes me angry. I'm angry at power-mad politicians and the voters who were too blind, too stupid, too uninformed, or too nearsighted to disregard propaganda on social media and from the poster child for misuse of public airwaves: Fox News.

I'm so angry I could spit. And I have little forgiveness for the fools who voted for Trump and politicians of his ilk.

Get informed. Stop believing in propaganda. Rely on credible news sources including NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, major local papers, PBS News, NPR News and the BBC.

Vote wisely. Dump Trump!

  1. My reason exactly for turning my back on the political three ring circus in DC. I see no sense stressing over, jepordizing my blood pressure, or become insane with wrath to the likes in Washington; no matter who is in charge.

I’ve found there’s more to life than politics and I have never felt better!
